Delaney the Advocate

After two years of referring to her condition as "staring spells", Delaney is now using the terms epilepsy and seizures. Pretty big words for a 6 year old. She also knows that she wants it to go away because she has plans...plans that don't include staring spells, seizures or side effects. You see, it's difficult to go swimming or play on the monkey bars or ride your bike if you could lose consciousness at any moment. Kinda sucks all the fun out of it. As a six year old, the main goal in life IS to have fun...and this epilepsy-thing is really "getting on my nerves" she says. So she's ready to do something about it. Team Delaney is born!
